Inferences on inferences are impermissible

United States v. Feliz, 467 F.3d 227, 236-237 (2d Cir. 2006) (upholding trial court's admission of autopsy reports [which were prepared by medical examiners] as business records because they were "'reports kept in the....There is a hearsay exception for a memorandum, report, record, or data compilation, in any form, of acts, events, conditions, opinions, or diagnoses, made at or near the time by, or from information transmitted by, a person with knowledge, if kept in the course of a regularly conducted activity of a business, institution, association, profession, occupation, or calling if it was the regular practice of that business, institution, association, profession, occupation, or calling to make the memorandum, report, record or data compilation, unless the source of information or the method or circumstances of preparation indicate lack of trustworthiness.

United States v. Schreane, 331 F.3d 548, 563-565 (6th Cir. 2003) (upholding trial court's ruling which allowed Officer Topping's testimony [about Duckett's statement during the stop] as an excited utterance because "Officer....A statement can qualify as an excited utterance for purposes of the hearsay exception created by by Federal Rule of Evidence 803(2) or a comparable State rule only if the declarant (the maker of the statement) personally perceived the exciting event or condition to which his or her statement relates.

Fed. R. Evid. 404(a)(2) (Prosecution's evidence of the pertinent trait of the character of the alleged victim is admissible if it is offered to rebut character evidence of the alleged....If accused offers victim's character to show victim's doing of an act, the prosecution may offer rebutting evidence of victim's character.
