The "learned treatise" exception to the hearsay rule applies only if (i) there is sufficient evidence of the authoritativeness and reliability of the the treatise, periodical, or similar literature about the topic for which the statement is offered or (ii) the authoritativeness and reliability of the literature are established by an admission or by judicial notice.
