Hearsay exceptions for government records

McLarey, 386 F.3d 289, 298 (1st Cir. 2004) (upholding trial court's admission of physician's reports [containing statements by McLarey and her family about what the two children said] because....Federal Rule of Evidence 803(4) or a comparable State rule creates a hearsay exception for a statement made for the purpose of medical diagnosis or treatment.

Threadgill v. Armstrong World Industries, Inc., 928 F.2d 1366, 1375 (3d Cir. 1991) (holding, in plaintiffs widow and children's action against defendants for asbestos-related negligence, that the trial court erroneously excluded into evidence....Federal Rule of Evidence 901(b)(8) and comparable State rules provide that a document or record may be authenticated if the document or record (A) is in such condition as to create no suspicion concerning its authenticity, (B) was in a place where it, if authentic, would likely be, and (C) has been in existence some specified number years or more at the time it is offered.
