A duplicate is a counterpart produced (a) from the same impression as the original; (b) from the same matrix; (c) by means of photography, including enlargements and miniatures; (d) by mechanical or electronic re-recording; (e) by chemical reproduction; or (f) by equivalent techniques that accurately reproduce the original.

United States v. Schreane, 331 F.3d 548, 563-565 (6th Cir. 2003) (upholding trial court's ruling which allowed Officer Topping's testimony [about Duckett's statement during the stop] as an excited utterance because "Officer....A statement can qualify as an excited utterance for purposes of the hearsay exception created by by Federal Rule of Evidence 803(2) or a comparable State rule only if the declarant (the maker of the statement) personally perceived the exciting event or condition to which his or her statement relates.

Unied States v. Beasley, 809 F.2d 1273, 1277-1278 (7th Cir. 1987) (holding that evidence of accused's bad acts to prove "pattern of crimes especially close in time" was inadmissible where "many bad acts of which [accused] was [charged] during trial were not similar in the sense...That other wrongs or crimes show a person's pattern of conduct does not by itself make inapplicable either the prohibition in Federal Rule of Evidence 404(a) against the use of character or propensity to show that person's conduct on a particular occasion or the corollary prohibition in Federal Rule of Evidence 404(b) against the use of other wrongs or crimes to show character or propensity for the purpose of showing a person's conduct on a particular occasion.

Huff v. White Motor Corp, 609 F.2d 286, 294 (7th Cir. 1979) (holding, in plaintiff wife's wrongful death action against defendant tractor-truck manufacturer, that the trial court erroneously excluded decedent's....The hearsay exception created by Federal Rule of Evidence 807 or a comparable State rule applies only if the the affected statement is more probative on the point for which it is offered than any other evidence which the proponent can procure through reasonable efforts.
