David Gold, Spindle's chief executive, was a litigator at a law firm in New York City before leaving to found the company. Previously, David was a law clerk for the Honorable Stephen Reinhardt of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He earned his J.D. at Columbia Law School, where he served as an Articles Editor for the Columbia Law Review. David also holds a Ph.D. in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor's degree from Brown University. He blogs at Dorf on Law, the Spindle Law Blog, and the Spindle Law Securities Blog, and he occasionally tweets.
Joel Friedman is Spindle's chief technology officer. Prior to joining Spindle, Joel was a vice president in the Reference Data Group at Morgan Stanley. Previously, he was chief technology officer at TSYS Prepaid, a leading processor of prepaid cards. He was an early employee of Clarity Payment Solutions, a venture-capital backed company founded in 2000 and acquired by TSYS in 2004. He holds a Master of Science degree in mathematics from Oxford University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar, and a bachelor's degree from Vassar College. He contributes to the Spindle Law Blog and tweets now and then.
Nicholas Diamand left his partnership at a law firm in New York City, where he litigated in a range of areas, to become Spindle's chief business development officer. Nick was a law clerk for the Honorable Edward R. Korman, then Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and practiced as a solicitor in London and Hong Kong. He has law degrees from Columbia Law School and the London College of Law, and a B.A. from Columbia University. He is a board member of Human Rights USA and of counsel at Lieff, Cabraser, Heimann & Bernstein, LLP. He also blogs at the Spindle Law Blog and has been known to tweet.
