David Gold, Spindle's chief executive, was a litigator at a law firm in New York City before leaving to found the company. Previously, David was a law clerk for the Honorable Stephen Reinhardt of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He earned his J.D. at Columbia Law School, where he served as an Articles Editor for the Columbia Law Review. David also holds a Ph.D. in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor's degree from Brown University. He blogs at Spindle Law Blog and occasionally tweets.
Joel Friedman is Spindle's chief technology officer. Prior to joining Spindle, Joel was a vice president in the Reference Data Group at Morgan Stanley. Previously, he was chief technology officer at TSYS Prepaid, a leading processor of prepaid cards. He was an early employee of Clarity Payment Solutions, a venture-capital backed company founded in 2000 and acquired by TSYS in 2004. He holds a Master of Science degree in mathematics from Oxford University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar, and a bachelor's degree from Vassar College.
Nicholas Diamand left his partnership at a law firm in New York City, where he litigated in a range of areas, to become Spindle's chief business development officer. Nick was a law clerk for the Honorable Edward R. Korman, then Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York and practiced as a solicitor in London and Hong Kong. He has law degrees from Columbia Law School and the London College of Law, and a B.A. from Columbia University. He is a board member of Human Rights USA and of counsel at Lieff, Cabraser, Heimann & Bernstein, LLP. He also blogs at the Spindle Law Blog and has been known to tweet.
Aniello Bianco is Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Pace University and has a long and successful history in law firm management and advising senior managers of law firms. For over eighteen years, he was Managing Director of Chadbourne & Parke, LLP where he was responsible for overseeing all of the business, financial and administrative affairs of the law firm and an ad hoc member of the firm’s Management Committee. As a Vice President at Hildebrandt International, he was a management consultant to large national and international law firms, specializing in strategic and tactical planning, strategic sourcing and profit improvement. Prior to that he was a partner at Arthur Young & Company and held various other senior management positions in investment banking and entertainment firms. He is a certified public accountant with a B.B.A and an Honorary Doctorate from Pace University.
Ronald S. Rolfe is a retired partner in the litigation department of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. He joined Cravath in 1970 and has been a partner there since 1977. His practice encompasses major antitrust and securities cases, SEC and grand jury investigations, and a wide range of commercial litigation and arbitrations for U.S. and international clients. He is a member of the Dean’s Council at the Columbia Law School as well as on the Board of Trustees at The Allen Stevenson School (President), The Lawrenceville School, and De La Salle Academy. He graduated from Harvard College and received his J.D. from Columbia Law School where he was an Editor of the Law Review and a James Kent Scholar.
